The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism told the Peruvian Silver as a flagship product, since it is a product of known quality, preferred by the external market and its remarkable development in production and management in Peru.
By a ministerial resolution published today in the official gazette El Peruano, indicates that this statement was approved by the National Flag Products (Coproba).
This working group is charged with developing a national strategy to identify, promote and protect the identity of the flagship products, both inside and outside the country.
The Peruvian silver is added to the ceramic Chulucanas, the national cuisine, pisco, maca, Peruvian cotton, lucuma, Peruvian Camelids, coffee and asparagus, which were also declared as a flagship product in previous years.
